Water Ingress
Client: Homeowner Location: Holmfirth
The Homeowner was having a new bathroom installed and a water ingress problem was discovered. The contractor working on the project could not resolved the issue or locate the source of the problem. So, Walker Group, having built up a reputation as “specialists in water ingress”, were called in to investigate after the client had seen our work on our social media feed.
After a call with the Homeowner Chris was quickly able to ascertain what the problem was. His vast experience of water ingress and knowledge of a similar project he had worked on 15 years ago enabled Chris to diagnose the problem and suggest solutions.
Offering a range of options and costs, the client decided on proceeding with our recommended approach.
Work done
- Onsite Investigation
- Indoor Tanking
- Remove Parapet Wall and Replace Capping Tray
- Remove Block Paving on Drive and Apply A Waterproof Membrane to Direct Water to The Gully
This work directs rain hitting the wall to the drainage system and prevents the water running into the bathroom under the driveway.
Customer feedback:
‘We had a complicated problem which emerged as our bathroom refit began which involved water intake from an unknown source. We had a number of people out to try and diagnose the issue but nobody knew how to resolve things and we were stuck with no bathroom! I read about Walker Group on social media and contacted them. They responded promptly and Chris came out and was able to tell us what the issue was almost straight away. We were given a range of options and once we had decided how to progress, Walker Group had a team out the following week to fix the issue. The team were polite, professional and courteous throughout, the work completed was to a very high standard and the outcome is that we are now enjoying our newly fitted bathroom! I would not hesitate to recommend Walker Group to others.’
