When Chris took over the family business from David Walker, he had some big boots to fill. The pressure was on, but Chris had worked alongside his dad since leaving school so was familiar with every part of the business and the potential stresses he would face.

The business continued to thrive, built on solid foundations with a reputation for delivering great workmanship, Chris has grown and developed the business from Walker Builders to Walker Group comprising:

• Walker Builders
• Walker Estate
• Walker Homes
• Walker Plant

It’s not been easy, the pandemic hit not long after we moved to our new HQ at Walker Estate adding to everyday pressures that most businesses face: sales, employees, supply chain and maintaining the smooth running of operations.

Chris put tools and measures in place to help relieve some of the stress both he and the team felt whilst ensuring the stability of the business.

The future is bright, we continue to grow as a business and move forward putting plans into actions.
