Solo self-build property with basement areas, project duration 6 – 7 weeks.
Homeowner reported cracking to floor tiles within the ground floor entrance hallway and basement lobby area of the property.
- Engineering borehole investigations identified the movement to basement floor slab is caused by overstressing of the coal seam and potential Seatearth located close to the underside of the basement slab.
- Damage caused by this movement is the cracking to the basement floor tiles and the basement walls.
Scope of Works
Stabilisation of progressive downward movement of the existing concrete ground floor slab to the basement area. Re-levelling of the stabilised floor slabs and reinstatement of floor finishes, as necessary.
